Reservations Policies & Additional Fees
  • Check-In: 4 p.m. | Check-Out: 11 a.m.
  • Parking Costs: Overnight valet parking is currently $50.00 per car, per night, plus tax and is subject to change without notice. (Height clearance 6 ft. 8")
  • Currency: United States Dollar
  • Payment Method: Please be aware this hotel requires EMV/Chip credit card upon arrival with a state or federal ID. Upon check-in, the hotel will obtain credit card authorization for the full amount of Room & Tax and an additional $200 hold for incidental charges. Please allow your bank/credit card company 5-7 business days after check out to return any unused balance from the $200 hold. If your room was pre-paid, then only the $200 hold will be required at check-in.
  • Pre-Authorization Policy: All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid credit card or prepaid. To guarantee your reservation and ensure the validity of the credit card on file, we will charge the credit card a one-night deposit after 4pm on arrival day.
  • Hotel Ratings: AAA Three Diamond
  • No Smoking Policy & Fees: Ocean View Hotel is 100% non-smoking. A $300 cleaning fee will be billed to your account if smoking occurs in/outside your room or on the balcony. This includes e-cigarettes and vape pens.
  • Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be made by 4 p.m. PST 24 hours prior to arrival in order to avoid a one-night cancellation fee, plus tax.
  • Package Shipping and Receiving Policy: $3.00 per piece for packages over one ounce.
  • Estimated Taxes & Fees: Guest room rates are subject to prevailing taxes and fees, currently 15.495% per room per night, and a TMD (Tourism Marketing District) fee, currently $6.75 per room, per night. These taxes and fees are subject to change without notice.
  • Luggage Storage: Luggage storage is available through the Front Desk at no additional charge for currently registered guests of the hotel.
  • Tax-Exempt Guests: All Tax Exempt Guests must bring an Individual Tax Exempt form from their organization and present it upon checking in.
  • Additional Person Fee: $20.00 per adult, over two adults. Maximum of 4 adults, per room.
  • Special Requests: Any special requests cannot be guaranteed and will be honored based on availability at check-in.
  • Online Reservation Procedures: By clicking submit to confirm the reservation, guest agrees to the rate and room policies of this reservation.
  • Lost & Found: We will make every attempt to return lost property. Please call the hotel directly to report a lost item at +1 (310) 656-4544.
Destination Fee Inclusions

Ocean View Hotel includes the following amenities for our guests at a destination fee of $28 plus tax:

  • Complimentary Nespresso coffee and tea
  • Dining discount at our sister property, Shore Hotel
  • Daily bike rentals (maximum of four bikes for three hours, based on availability) 
  • Access to beach towels
  • Complimentary gym passes (2 daily) to John Reed Fitness (10 minute walk from the hotel)
  • Kids amenity
  • Access to hand umbrellas
Pet Policy

For our guests who choose to visit with their pets, kindly look at the following guidelines:

We welcome well-mannered, house-trained dogs.

Each room is limited to (2) non-service pets.

  • A flat Fee of $100 dollars will be charged to your guest folio.
  • Pet owners are responsible for picking up after their pets.
  • Should any pet display dangerous, aggressive, or unacceptable behavior (including but not limited to biting, excessive barking and/or evidence of disease), Ocean View Hotel reserves the right for their immediate removal.
  • Please reference the Pet Agreement for complete policies relating to housekeeping services, noise complaints, damages to accommodations and more.
  • While Emotional Support Animals or Comfort Animals are often used as part of a medical treatment plan as therapy animals, they are not considered service animals under the ADA and remain subject to the pet agreement and non-refundable fee
  • Ocean View Hotel allows up to 2 non-service pets in selected room types.
  • Pets are not allowed to be unattended in the room.
  • Recommendations for nearby parks and local pet friendly restaurants are provided at the concierge desk if needed.
