On your next visit to Santa Monica, lose the crowds and take charge of your own tour by renting a bike and hitting up the Marvin Braude Bike Path. Locals love this inexpensive and green way to explore the city. Also known as "The Strand," the Marvin Braude Bike Path is a multi-use, recreational trail that stretches 22 miles down the Pacific Coastline, making it an excellent way to discover Santa Monica without worrying about getting lost. The trail is also friendly to foot traffic, but we recommend biking to cover more distance. You can rent a bike at Will Rogers State Park and take it all the way to the end of the trail at Torrance County Beach. You'll have no issues seeing the many hotspots that Santa Monica has to offer, all while getting in some great exercise and people-watching along the way.
