We love our little spot by the beach, but a trip to Los Angeles is not complete until you make a stop at one of the many eccentric neighborhoods that are hidden all around the city. One of our favorite places to spend the afternoon is in Little Tokyo. This electric spot is a happy medium between tradition and modern waves. Little Tokyo sprouted up in 1886 and has been evolving ever since—you can find great ramen here as well as ancient Japanese gardens and authentic shops. Just like Japan, it doesn't secure a large amount of space, but do not let the size of Little Tokyo prevent you from experiencing this larger-than-life cultural attraction. Stroll along East Temple Street to feel like you just hopped on a private jet to take spend a Saturday afternoon on the island itself. We have no doubt that you will be wowed by this cool, eclectic neighborhood while visiting us here at the Ocean View Hotel.
