Between morning beachside tanning sessions and long bike rides through Santa Monica into Venice, it's time to take a break from the sand and get that true Hollywood feel. Just about 20 minutes inland, a tour at Sony Pictures Studios awaits, where you'll be transported to the classical era of cinema.
Originally known as MGM Studios, and home to some of our favorite childhood classics like The Wizard of Oz and Singin' in the Rain, Sony Pictures Studios is a time capsule of pop culture trivia. A tour around the lot will take you to iconic spots like the Ghostbusters mobile, or an actual yellow brick from THE iconic road. Pass by the Judy Garland Building, or by the Happy Madison production office where if you're lucky, you'll catch Adam Sandler hanging outside. The tour guide will amaze you with endless movie and studio fun facts, showing you which legendary movies were shot behind each set of elephant doors (the name for big sliding studio doors.) Other popular shows like Shark Tank, Wheel of Fortune, and Insecure share their writing and production with the lot. While eating lunch at the commissary, or picking up a coffee at the cafe on-site, the chances of spotting a celebrity are high!
Tickets start at $50, with VIP Lunch tour upgrades available. Get your tickets online now!
