The concerts take place right on the Santa Monica Pier – a site that that has been a local and tourist attraction for many years. The concert series starts July 10th and runs through September 11th. And best of all? The concert series is completely FREE! If you’re staying in

The Twilight Concert Series is summer fun at its finest. All the concerts run from 7-10pm, but it’s a good idea to show up early so you can secure a great spot. Make a day of it! Hang out at the beach all day, soak up the sun, and when evening rolls around, get ready for a completely free music experience. Since seats are not provided, feel free to bring your own blankets or chairs so you can enjoy the concert more comfortably. If you get hungry, don’t worry. There are a number of great food options all along the pier and if you are 21+ years old, then you can enjoy the Concert Garden. At the concert garden, enjoy drinks such as Barefoot Wines, Michelob Ultra, various cocktails, as well as non-alcoholic beverages.
Here’s the lineup: Kicking things off on July 10th in the Indie Pop genre is Cults with James Supercave. On July 17th, the up and coming Malaysian star Yuna with King will be performing. On July 24th, local talent Cayucas and PAPA will perform. On July 31st, enjoy the Syrian electro style of Omar Souleyman. August 7th is the day that Australian band Jagwar Ma will perform. On August 14th, hear from the Latin talent of La Santa Cecilia and Sergio Mendoza. On August 21st, The Zombies and Mystic Braves will be performing. On August 28th, get ready for some Reggae with Lee “Scratch” Perry and Mexico 68. The September 4th performer is TBA. And finally, closing things out on September 11th, is Charles Bradley along with King James & The Special Men.

in Santa Monica on June 18-21! This thrilling festival is create by Digital LA, and has attracted over 2,000 attendees in 2013. The Silicon Beach Fest is a celebration of Los Angeles technology, entertainment & startups with panels, keynotes, workshops, mixers, and much more. The attendees include famous and successful CEOs, Hollywood movie and music studio executives, agencies, social media gurus, developers, designers, fashion, and more from all over Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, OC, San Diego, New York, and international. The Silicon Beach Fest is celebrating its third year by highlighting on the amazing success of Los Angeles tech companies in 2013. Some of these companies even include Facebook and Disney. This year’s exciting festival will include panels, parties, showcases, and beach games for all ages! The networking parties are designed to help individuals meet important key individuals and make new friends at the Opening and Closing Party. There will also be VIP-only parties and a variety of other networking events. Startup showcases will also take place at the festival, where 40-50 new startups will have 5 minutes to pitch for their chance to win the grand prize and SBF 2014 title and trophy. Fun beach games, such as surfing, basketball, or beach volleyball is another great way to network with the friends you’ve made during the fest!
New additions have been added to the beach fest this year which includes a Digital Content Fest, Sandbox, Startup Village, Startup Tables, and Pre-Events. The Digital Content Fest is where you can watch some of your favorite digital content by YouTubers and indie content creators. Have fun with you friends at the Sandbox, where you can get hands-on with 3D printers, VR, wearables, fit-tech, phone accessories, and more. The Startup Village at the Third Street Promenade will have exciting activities for the public on Saturday, June 21st. The Startup Tables available near the panel venues will showcase popular products, demos, and giveaways to SBF attendees. Several tech companies will also be organizing pre-events for people to enjoy on Sunday, June 15th.
Now is the time to start registering for the Silicon Beach Fest, with ticket prices as low as $30. There is recommended parking at the Santa Monica Library, just a few blocks away from the actual Cross Campus venue where the festival will be held. Lunch will not be available at the festival, but there will be complimentary snacks and other small foods available at some venues. Some venues are only 21+ of age and require a photo ID. Cross Campus and General Assembly will provide free wifi access to all guests, just look for the wifi password at the entrance and around the different events.
OCRF Super Saturday Fundraising Event
Do you consider yourself a fashionista? Always looking out for sales? Enjoy doing things for a good cause? If so, then you should come out to the
event hosted by the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund. Super Saturday is an event that has been hosted in New York for years. The event has been very successful – last year they raised $3.7 million for ovarian cancer research! In fact, the Ovarian Cancer Research Fund has decided to add a Super Saturday here in Los Angeles! The event will be from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. at the Barker Hangar in beautiful Santa Monica, CA. If you already know of

The New York Times has called Super Saturday, “The Rolls Royce of garage sales” so it is definitely an experience not to be missed! Essentially, it is a garage sale where luxury items and top fashion brands in clothes, accessories, children’s clothes, beauty products and home décor are sold anywhere from 30-50% off their original retail value! Rachel Zoe – fashion stylist icon and her husband Rodger Berman, and Molly Sims – American model and her husband Scott Stuber will host the event. During this event, join designers, celebrities, editors, the media, and fashion lovers from all over at this charity event.
After shopping through all of the amazing bargains, you can rest up before continuing your shopping by visiting the many experience tents. At some tents you will find fun for the whole family, while in others you can find relaxation and quiet through a spa or massage! Throughout the grounds you can find places to eat and various refreshments – all food included in the ticket price. Additional purchases including what you buy at the “garage sale” will all go towards fundraising money for the ovarian cancer research center.
